Tiger King Zookeeper Erik Cowie Cause Of Death

Popular American Zookeeper Erik Cowie has died. Erik was found dead on September 3, 2021, in New York City.

Law enforcement sources tell say Erik was in town visiting a friend at her apartment, where he was found dead.

Investigating officers learned Erik used alcohol excessively, and a large bottle of vodka was found at the scene.

There were no drugs reportedly found at the scene.

Erik Cowie was one of the animal caretakers at the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park and testified against Exotic, who is currently serving 22 years in a Texas prison after being found guilty of hiring two hitmen in a failed murder-for-hire against his big cat zoo rival, Carole Baskin.
