He was picked by the Vikings in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft after playing collegiate football at Ohio State.

Davis attended St. John Bosco High School in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, where he grew up. Davis was a five-star recruit according to Rivals, 247Sports, and Scout, and he chose Ohio State over Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA, USC, and Washington to play college football.

He did a good job of opening a lot of holes for J.K. Dobbins that season and helped Justin Fields produce a prolific season for Ohio State.

Davis had some issues in pass protection early in the 2020 season, but the junior improved as the year progressed. He then decided to skip his senior year and enter the 2021 NFL Draft.
